Dryad 'PlouPlane'...
I came across what was tagged as “early plough plane” but on further inspection it was… well it was a plough plane, but for book binding, not woodwork.
I guess it is used for trimming page ends on a bound book to level them off.
The pages clamp in like so…
and the plane is, well it’s ploughed across the paper. And the blade does the work…
et voila: nice...
